Looking for a Business Mentor? We Can Help!

Starting or growing a business comes with plenty of questions. Having someone who has been through it before can make a big difference.

The Downtown Everett Association (DEA) would like to help connect local entrepreneurs with experienced business owners who are willing to share their knowledge, experience, and perspective.

Whether you’re just getting started, considering a new business idea, or working through a challenge with an existing business, a mentor can provide a valuable sounding board. Mentorship could be as simple as meeting for coffee, talking through a business challenge, sharing lessons learned, or providing a fresh perspective.

DEA Can Help Make the Connection

Our goal is to connect entrepreneurs with local business owners who understand what it’s like to operate a business in Everett. If you’re an entrepreneur looking for guidance, or an established business owner interested in mentoring someone in the community, we’d love to hear from you.

Additional Resources for Entrepreneurs

DEA isn’t the only resource available to local entrepreneurs. There are several organizations that provide business mentoring, advising, and support:

  • SCORE offers free one-on-one mentoring from experienced business professionals. It’s a great resource for entrepreneurs looking for guidance on everything from business planning and marketing to financing and growth.
  • Washington Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides no-cost, confidential one-on-one business advising. The SBDC has an Everett location and can help entrepreneurs work through business plans, financials, strategy, and other business challenges.
  • U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) connects entrepreneurs with a network of organizations that provide counseling, mentoring, training, and other small-business resources.

These organizations provide valuable formal business advising, while DEA can help provide something a little different: connections to people who are actively running businesses here in Everett.

Let’s Help Each Other Grow

A strong business community is built when entrepreneurs have access to knowledge, connections, and people willing to share what they’ve learned.
