Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community, but it’s important that you get something out of it, too. We want our volunteers to find a project that excites them and work with a group of people that inspires them.
Short Term Opportunities
Planting Day
Each spring, community members plant flowers in 270+ downtown. Community support is crucial to keeping the Downtown Flower Program growing and thriving! Planting Day 2023 will be held Saturday, May 6. Register to volunteer via Eventbrite!
Downtown Events
Sip & Shop, Salty Sea Days, and Downtown Trick-or-Treating rely on volunteer support each year for a variety of tasks, from passing out candy to photography to pouring beer & wine and more! Committees
Economic Vitality
Focuses on capital, incentives, and other economic and financial tools to assist new and existing businesses, catalyze property development, and create a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and innovators that drive local economies.
Design
Supports a community’s transformation by enhancing the physical and visual assets that set the commercial district apart.
Promotion
Positions the downtown or commercial district as the center of the community and hub of economic activity, while creating a positive image that showcases a community’s unique characteristics.
Organization
Involves creating a strong foundation for a sustainable revitalization effort, including cultivating partnerships, community involvement, and resources for the district.
Board of Directors
Provides overall guidance for the programs and activities of the Downtown Everett Association. Responsibilities include financial oversight, setting policies, and serving as an ambassador of the association at major programs and events.
