SUMMARY:Preserve the Kulture
DESCRIPTION:Preserve the Kulture Jam 24 is a FREE two-day celebration of hip-hop culture at APEX Art & Culture Center\, Friday and Saturday\, Aug. 16-17. \nThe event begins with a special movie screening of Prophets\, Teachers and Kings\, an -award winning film documenting the UIT crew\, graffiti’s last underground crew out of Los Angeles. Dogtown Collection’s collector John Carswell and UTI OGs will answer questions about the making of the movie and LA’s graffiti culture. AMGRAF will be open for tours with Baby G Carswell. \nThe fun continues on Friday night with a Paint Battle\, Teen Mural Kickoff\, DJs\, Food Truck and Beer Garden. Come and enjoy watching some of graffiti’s top national and regional artists take to their canvases as they battle to be the best of their peers. \nSaturday’s activities include a lowrider car show\, DJs\, break dancers\, another paint battle\, AMGRAF museum tours\, the teen mural project and Saturday Night concert with Herb -N- Life\, a reggae band that hails from Arizona. *There will be a $10 cover to enter the event space for the Saturday night show beginning at 8 p.m. The beer garden and food truck will be open throughout the event. \nSupported by Snohomish County and Everett LTAC grants\, this community event is partnering with The Schack Art Center and their weekend Fresh Paint event. Paint\, paint and more paint. Watching graffiti artists create their works of art using only aerosol paint doesn’t get much fresher.​ \nThe event is all-ages and free.

DESCRIPTION:Great beer\, great food\, great shopping\, and great fun! The Upper Left Beerfest & Food Truck Festival will once again be taking over the streets of downtown Everett\, August 2024! With the support of the City of Everett as well as the Downtown Everett Association\, the Upper Left Beerfest will return larger than ever. The event will again be a two-day festival taking place Friday & Saturday\, August 16 & 17\, featuring live music throughout both days. 2024 also again feature over 20 breweries and cideries from around the Northwest. \nFriday\, August 16\, you’ll find 10+ food trucks and lots of Mystic Market booths open and operating the same beer festival hours\, 4pm -8:30pm directly outside the fenced area of the beer festival. Sample some of your favorite food trucks from around the region while shopping some of the best craft booths in the area! \nSaturday\, August 17 – Both the Food Truck Festival and Market will be open from 12pm – 7pm in full capacity\, featuring over 20 food trucks as well as 40+ Maker’s Booths! There’s truly a bit of everything for the entire family! \nThe Food Truck Festival is family- and dog-friendly. ULBF is 21+ (humans only).
